Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Al-Budaiwi, held talks on enhancing Gulf military integration with the newly appointed Commander of the Unified Military Command, Major General Abdulaziz Al-Balawi, on Sunday.
According to the GCC General Secretariat, the meeting took place at the Secretariat’s headquarters in Riyadh, marking Al-Balawi’s assumption of his new role.
Al-Budaiwi congratulated Al-Balawi, expressing confidence in his leadership and praising Lieutenant General Eid Al-Shalawi, the outgoing commander, for his pivotal role in advancing joint Gulf defense efforts.
