Brutal Iranian attack hits power, water distillation facility, kills Indian worker
Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced on Sunday, that a service building at one of the power and water distillation plants was damaged in a brutal Iranian attack on the State of Kuwait, resulting in the death of a worker of Indian nationality.
In a news statement, the ministry’s spokesperson Fatima Jawhar Hayat said that technical and emergency teams have immediately dealt with the repercussions of the incident in line with the approved emergency plan.
Hayat underlined the continuation of operation efficiency, in parallel with full coordination with security authorities and the relevant bodies to ensure the damaged sites. She called on everyone to remain calm, avoid being affected by rumors, and obtain information from official sources, affirming that they would continue to monitor developments with transparency.
Hayat affirmed that the safety and stability of the electricity and water system are a top priority, and that all technical teams are working around the clock with high efficiency to handle any potential emergency and ensure the continuity of vital services. – Kuna
