Boys’ Care Home set to become Kuwait’s child protection center

The facility is currently being developed to meet the highest professional and international standards, creating a leading model for a safe and comprehensive environment for children.

Iman Al-Enzi, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, affirmed the councils commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive environment for children, ensuring their protection, and enhancing their skills in line with international standards.

Al-Enzi emphasized the commitment of the council to continuing its efforts to protect children and provide the best services that ensure their well-being, as well as their psychological and social security.

 

Iman Al-Enzi, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, announced that the BoysCare Home within the Social Welfare Homes Complex will be converted into a specialized center for child protection. The facility is currently being developed to meet the highest professional and international standards, creating a leading model for a safe and comprehensive environment for children, according to a report from the Al Rai newspaper.

Al-Enzi explained in a press statement that this step is part of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs’ commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive environment for children, providing services that ensure their protection, develop their skills, and enhance their capabilities in line with the best international programs.

She added, “We are dedicated to strengthening national efforts aimed at protecting children and providing a safe environment that guarantees their rights and supports their aspirations. Childhood is a trust we must care for with sincerity, and the establishment of a child protection center reflects our firm commitment to this precious group.”

In a related development, Al-Enzi announced that the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, in collaboration with the Kuwaiti Bar Association, will host an event to celebrate International Children’s Day under the slogan “Trusteen,” at the Avenues Complex next Thursday afternoon.

Regarding the event’s program, Al-Enzi said, “Our celebration this year goes beyond raising awareness; it underscores Kuwait’s ongoing mission to promote children’s rights and protection as a fundamental pillar of community development.”

She explained that the event will feature various cultural and entertainment activities designed to raise awareness about children’s rights and emphasize the importance of protecting children, aligning with Kuwait’s exceptional vision in this area.

Al-Enzi emphasized the commitment of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs to continuing its efforts to protect children and provide the best services that ensure their well-being, as well as their psychological and social security. She stressed that the child is a trust that must be preserved and nurtured.
