Biography of Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs

An Amiri decree was issued appointing Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah as Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs with the rank of minister, effective September 1, 2025.

• Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Kuwait University (1989).
• He has held several senior positions in government and diplomacy over the past three decades:
• Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense in the governments formed in December 2020, March 2021, and December 2021.
• Minister of Information from November 2011 to February 2012.
• Ambassador of Kuwait to Saudi Arabia between February 2007 and November 2011.
• Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince with the rank of Undersecretary (2003–2006).
• Assistant Undersecretary for External Equipment Affairs at the Ministry of Defense and Head of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense (1998–2001).
• Worked at the Kuwaiti Embassy in Italy (1993–1997).
• Worked at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs (1991–1993).
• Began his career as a Political Researcher in the Office of the Minister of Interior (1989–1991).
