Beneficiaries of rented housing have five years to hand over units: Sheikha Bibi Al-Yousef

Sheikha Bibi Al-Yousef, head of the Women’s Housing Committee at the Public Authority for Housing Welfare, clarified the approved deadline for individuals whose Kuwaiti nationalities were withdrawn and who currently occupy rented housing provided by the Authority.
After thorough research and verification, Sheikha Al-Yousef confirmed that the correct period extends to five years, contrary to earlier statements suggesting it was limited to only two years from the date of nationality withdrawal, reports Al-Rai daily.
She emphasized that the housing units must be handed back to the Authority once this period expires. This clarification ensures accurate understanding of housing policies for affected individuals and helps prevent misunderstandings regarding their obligations under the housing program.
The announcement reinforces the Authority’s commitment to transparency and proper guidance for all beneficiaries, while maintaining the integrity of the public housing system.
