Bedoun, policeman file contradictory complaints at with Maidan Hawally police

A case of assault and insulting a public employee has been registered at the Maidan Hawally police station, involving a policeman (born in 1998) and an illegal resident (bedoun, born in 1980).
The case has been referred for reinvestigation to clarify conflicting accounts between the two parties, reports Al-Anba daily.
The policeman claims he was responding to a dispute between a woman and a child, and at this time the bedoun intervened. When attempting to protect the child, the policeman alleges the bedoun insulted and physically assaulted him.
The bedoun, in turn, accuses the policeman of abuse of authority, stating he was beaten and insulted by the man in uniform. He provided a medical report confirming a broken nose as a result of being punched by the latter.
The case has been recorded as a misdemeanor and referred to authorities for further investigation to determine the true sequence of events and assess potential legal accountability.
