Bayan traffic accident uncovers drugs, weapons in ‘drunk’ driver’s possession

A traffic accident in the suburb of Bayan led to the seizure of drugs, weapons, and prohibited items from a 50-year-old man, whose identity has not been disclosed.

According to security sources, this happened when police received a report about a collision between two vehicles in Bayan.

When the Hawalli Police patrols rushed to the scene, they found the driver of one of the vehicles was under the influence of drugs, reports Al-Anba daily.

A precautionary search of the suspect revealed a bag containing chemical substances, drug-use paraphernalia, an air rifle, and a flashlight typically used by security personnel.

The suspect, along with the confiscated items, was referred to the General Department for Drug Control for further investigation and legal action.
