Banning of weddings and social events around Jaber and Al-Nasr stadiums

As part of the preparations for the 26th Gulf Cup, which will be hosted by Kuwait starting from 21st December 2024 to 3rd January 2025, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, addressed, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of Housing, Abdullatif Al-Mishari; to instruct the competent authority to issue a circular not to “hold any weddings or social events during the tournament in the areas surrounding Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium and Al-Nasr Sports Club Stadium in Al-Ardiya area.”

This speech came as part of the preparations and arrangements based on the recommendations of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the 26th Gulf Championship, formed by a decision of the Council of Ministers, in its last meeting.

Moreover, it was decided to prevent holding of any cultural, social or sporting event or public activity in the areas surrounding the stadiums where the championship matches will be held, given that it is a major and prominent national event, and full dedication must be devoted to organizing it and presenting it in the most beautiful way.
