“Awqaf” launches “Book and Pen” forum to promote knowledge and learning
The "Book and Pen" forum is an initiative aimed at fostering a culture of knowledge, education, and intellectual development, under the slogan “Reading is food for the mind, advancement of thought, and building of civilizations”.
The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, represented by the Family Development Department, in cooperation with the National Library of Kuwait, launched the “Book and Pen” forum under the slogan “Reading is food for the mind, advancement of thought, and building of civilizations.”
The forum continued for two days in the Kuwait National Library Theater in the morning.
A cultural exhibition was held on the sidelines of the forum, in which a group of libraries, publishing houses, and cultural centers participated.
On the first day, a dialogue session was presented with the writer Afif Al-Jassem, who was interviewed by Sarah Al-Ajmi about her book (How do we understand different personalities?), and then the participants in the exhibition were honored accordingly.
In the second period, Talal Al-Najdi presented a workshop entitled “How do I choose the book I read?” The forum included a dialogue session with the author Taiba Al-Hazim, who discussed the book “Your Only Refuge.”
