Asian man arrested with drugs worth 170,000 dinars in Al-Mangaf
The Ministry of Interior announced that personnel from the Directorate-General for Drug Control have arrested an Asian man in possession of a large quantity of heroin and crystal meth, with an estimated market value of about 170,000 Kuwaiti dinars.
According to the Ministry statement, the operation led to the seizure of six kilograms of pure heroin and four kilograms of crystal meth, along with two sensitive scales used for weighing the narcotics in a suburb of Al-Mangaf.
Investigations revealed that the accused was receiving instructions from outside the country and was using a sophisticated method to receive drug shipments through “location tracking” on a social media application.
The shipments were reportedly dropped off at prearranged locations for collection.
The suspect and the seized materials were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures against him.
