Kuwaiti visual artist Mahmoud Ashkanani took part in the 33rd edition of the Ludwig International Art Forum, held in the village of Kendlimajor, Hungary, where he joined a diverse group of international artists in a vibrant atmosphere of artistic creativity and cultural exchange.

Speaking to KUNA, Ashkanani said he showcased six abstract artworks during the forum, which were exhibited following the conclusion of seven intensive workshops. This marks his 12th consecutive year participating in the event, where he represents Kuwait among 30 artists from Asia, Africa, and Europe, reports Al-Anba daily.

Ashkanani highlighted the forum’s emphasis on the diversity of artistic practices, including painting, wood carving, ceramics, porcelain, enamel painting on copper, and contemporary conceptual art. He noted that the exchange of ideas and interaction among artists from different cultures helps foster a dynamic and enriching creative environment.

The forum’s daily program includes opportunities for artists to visit each other’s workshops, fostering dialogue and collaboration. Evening events feature documentaries about participating artists, along with musical concerts and artistic excursions to local galleries and museums, further deepening the cultural experience.
