After the endorsement, Kuwait’s Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, expressed his sincere gratitude to member states for the confidence they placed in Kuwait, reports Al-Rai daily.
He described the responsibility as a great honor, affirming that Kuwait will carry out its role with dedication, recognizing the importance of strengthening Arab media cooperation and elevating its presence in regional and international arenas.
Al-Mutairi also extended deep appreciation to Saudi Minister of Information Salman Al-Dosari for his distinguished leadership during his previous chairmanship of the Executive Office.
He noted that Al-Dosari’s efforts contributed significantly to advancing mechanisms of joint Arab media work and adapting to rapid transformations occurring in the media sector.
The minister emphasized Kuwait’s commitment to building on past achievements and expanding avenues of cooperation among Arab states.
He stressed that Kuwait aims to contribute to a more dynamic, interactive, and influential Arab media environment, with support from the esteemed members of the Council. Strengthening the role of media in serving Arab aspirations, he noted, remains a core priority.
Al-Mutairi added that the endorsement reflects the confidence Arab nations place in Kuwait and affirms the country’s reputation as a leading model in media development, supported by a strategic vision that aligns with modern challenges and enhances the ability of Arab media to communicate effectively and responsibly.
