Appeal Court upholds lower court verdict, acquits Tunisians of ISIS links

The Court of Appeal, presided over by Judge Nasr Al-Haid, has upheld the verdict of the Criminal Court and acquitted three Tunisian nationals who were accused of belonging to ISIS and planning terrorist attacks targeting mosques and Hussainiyas (Shia religious gatherings) in various areas across Kuwait.
Earlier when the Criminal Court confronted the defendants with charges of joining a terrorist organization (ISIS) and plotting attacks within Kuwaiti territory, the three individuals denied all charges, and the court found insufficient evidence to convict them.
With the appellate court affirming the initial verdict, the three defendants have been cleared of all accusations.
