Apartment fire in Salmiya leaves 11 injured

An apartment fire in a building in Salmiya resulted in injuries to 11 people and substantial material losses.

After the Directorate-General of Fire Department (DGFD) received a report about the fire, fire engines from Al-Bidaa and Salmiya fire stations were mobilized along with search and rescue teams.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the blaze had engulfed an apartment in a 12-floor building. Their immediate priority was to evacuate all residents and contain the fire to prevent its spread to other floors.

Following the evacuation, efforts focused on extinguishing the fire and mitigating its impact. Emergency medical technicians attended to the 11 injured residents, providing necessary medical assistance.

Meanwhile, officers from the Fire Accident Investigation and Prevention Department are investigating to determine the causes of the fire.
