‘Aoun’s visit to Kuwait reflects deep-rooted ties between both nations’

The Chargé d’Affaires at the Lebanese Embassy in Kuwait, Ahmed Arafa, affirmed that the visit of Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun to Kuwait at the invitation of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah underscores the depth and resilience of the historic fraternal ties between the two countries.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Arafa emphasized the longstanding and evolving relations between Kuwait and Lebanon, highlighting the continued development across various fields, supported by the leaderships of both nations.

He noted that President Aoun’s visit comes at an important time amid regional and international challenges and serves as a platform to strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchange views on issues of mutual concern.

Arafa added that Kuwaiti-Lebanese relations have always been characterized by mutual trust and solidarity, forming a unique model of international friendship and cooperation.

He described President Aoun’s visit as the first of its kind and expressed hope for reciprocal visits by the leaderships of both countries to further solidify ties.

Commending Kuwait’s principled stance during times of crisis, Arafa particularly praised the country’s swift response during the recent Israeli aggression against Lebanon.

He pointed out that Kuwait was among the first to condemn the assault and quickly airlifted humanitarian and medical aid under the directives of His Highness the Amir.

He concluded by expressing gratitude for Kuwait’s unwavering support and conveyed his wishes for continued security, stability, and prosperity for Kuwait, as well as progress and unity for Lebanon.
