The elections, held on 19th December 2025 at Rajdhani Palace, Khaitan, drew enthusiastic participation from alumni across generations, from recent corporate entrants to senior members who have guided AMUOBA since its inception.
After a week of vigorous campaigning, the long-awaited election day saw alumni casting their votes with fervor despite heavy traffic and parking challenges.

Most positions were uncontested, except for the President and Vice President, which witnessed competitive ballots. The Election Commission, led by Jamil Akhtar, and the outgoing AMUOBA team, including President Aslam Parvez and Vice President Tariq Waseem, ensured the election was conducted with transparency, efficiency, and precision.
The voting process, held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, was managed, with a dedicated voter verification team including Siraj Ahmad Khan, Gulraiz Warsi, Shafqat Alam, Ahmad Imroz Khan, and Dr. Iram Chaudhary overseeing the proceedings. Alumni mingled over tea and traditional Indian snacks, sharing warm conversations that highlighted the strong camaraderie within the Alig fraternity.
Counting commenced immediately after voting, and by 10:30 pm, the results were announced. Asim Mahfuz Kidwai was elected President winning over Mustafa Sarwar, while Ms. Shazia Mansoor emerged as Vice President, over Mohammad Asim Khan.

The remaining executive council members were elected unopposed, including General Secretary Mohammad Khurshid Anwar, Joint Secretary Syed Obaid Ahmad, OSD Syed Naved Asghar, DOSD Aaley Ali, and EC members Amaan Ahmad, Tanveer Ahmed, Abdul Rahman, Shadan Ahmed Khan, Hasan Kamal, Rizwan Ahmad Khan, Quaiser Danish, and Shabahat Ali Khan.
Outgoing President Aslam Parvez, in his concluding address, thanked the election commission, verification team, advisory committee, and alumni for their overwhelming support.
He lauded the democratic spirit of the community and expressed confidence in the newly elected team’s professionalism, dedication, and commitment to promoting educational, literary, cultural, social, and community welfare initiatives over the next two years.
