
The Urology Unit at Amiri Hospital has received international accreditation as a “Center of Excellence” from the American Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), marking a significant achievement for Kuwait’s healthcare sector. The Ministry of Health said the accreditation recognizes the unit’s compliance with international standards in quality of care, patient safety and the efficiency of surgical practices.
The SRC specializes in evaluating the quality and safety of surgical care and accredits healthcare units and facilities based on internationally recognized standards. Dr. Areej Al-Kandari, Director of Amiri Hospital, said the accreditation was the result of the collective efforts of the hospital’s medical and administrative teams.
She described the recognition as an important achievement and an incentive for hospital staff to continue strengthening healthcare quality and patient safety. Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Turki, Head of the Urology Unit, said the accreditation represented the culmination of efforts to implement evidence-based medical practices and develop treatment protocols and clinical pathways in line with the highest standards.
The recognition highlights the Urology Unit’s commitment to maintaining high standards of surgical care and continuously improving patient outcomes.
