Amir affirms Kuwait’s commitment to expanding investments and building global strategic partnerships

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to broadening investment horizons, enhancing business competitiveness, and forging strategic partnerships with leading international companies.

He emphasized that such efforts aim to diversify the national economy, transfer and localize advanced technologies and expertise, attract high-quality investments, empower national talent, and create promising opportunities for youth, all in support of Kuwait’s sustainable development goals.

This came during His Highness the Amir’s reception at Bayan Palace of Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon and his accompanying delegation, who are visiting the country.

Solomon expressed his company’s aspiration to strengthen cooperation with Kuwait and contribute its financial and investment expertise to advance Kuwait’s economic modernization programs and the objectives of Vision 2035.

The Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) announced the opening of a Goldman Sachs office in Kuwait, marking a new step in the ongoing strategic partnership between the two sides.

In related developments, His Highness the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, received the Kuwaiti medical team that achieved a Guinness World Record by performing the first remote robotic surgery across a distance of 12,000 kilometers.

The team — consisting of Dr. Sulaiman Al-Mazidi, Dr. Muhannad Al-Haddad, and Dr. Hamoud Al-Rashidi — was honored for this groundbreaking medical achievement, which highlights Kuwait’s leadership in global medical innovation and the excellence of its national cadres in harnessing cutting-edge technology for healthcare advancement.

Separately, His Highness the Amir sent a congratulatory cable to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the 52nd anniversary of the October 6 War victories, expressing heartfelt congratulations and pride in the heroic sacrifices of the Egyptian Armed Forces.

His Highness also paid tribute to the shared sacrifices of Kuwaiti and Egyptian soldiers during that historic battle, reflecting the depth of brotherly ties between the two nations.
