Al-Yousef emphasizes on maritime border security
Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef underscored the critical importance of safeguarding maritime borders as an indispensable component of Kuwait’s comprehensive security framework.
Highlighting the imperative to maintain attentiveness, vigilance, and proactive measures in territorial waters, he emphasized the necessity to monitor and address any infractions swiftly, reports Al-Anba daily.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of devising comprehensive monitoring strategies to counteract infiltration and smuggling activities, thus upholding Kuwait’s security and stability.
Al-Yousef articulated these priorities during an inspection of the General Administration of the Coast Guard at the Sabah Al-Ahmad Naval Base. Welcomed by Major General Talal Al-Munis, he received a detailed overview of the Coast Guard’s responsibilities and operational duties.
His visit included examinations of radar systems, the operations room, and the search and rescue center, as well as inspections of French vessels, technical workshops, reconstructed interceptor patrols, and newly manufactured vessels. Throughout the tour, Al-Yousef provided valuable feedback, directing authorities to expedite solutions to identified issues.
