Al-Yahya receives credentials of new Canadian envoy

Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya on Monday received a copy of the credentials of Canadian Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Ms. Tara Scheurwater, during a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters.

In a press statement, the Ministry said that Minister Al-Yahya welcomed the new ambassador and conveyed his best wishes for her success in carrying out her duties.

He also expressed hope for further progress and prosperity in the close bilateral relations between Kuwait and Canada.

Minister Al-Yahya also met with the outgoing Iraqi Ambassador to Kuwait, Manhal Al-Safi, at the Ministry’s General Diwan.

The Ministry noted that the Foreign Minister commended Al-Safi’s distinguished efforts and valuable contributions in strengthening the strong bilateral relations between Kuwait and Iraq.

He expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the ambassador’s support in developing these ties and wished him success in his future assignments.
