Al-Yahya discusses strategic ties with EU special envoy Di Maio

Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya held a meeting on Sunday with the European Union’s Special Representative for the Gulf region, Luigi Di Maio, during his official visit to the country.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting emphasized the longstanding friendship and robust strategic partnership between Kuwait and the European Union. Both sides reviewed ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation across a range of key and vital sectors, reports Al-Rai daily.

The two officials also discussed current regional and international developments, as well as topics of mutual concern. The discussions underscored the importance of continued coordination to support regional stability and advance shared interests.

The visit reflects growing momentum in EU-Gulf relations and Kuwait’s active role in fostering international diplomatic engagement.
