Al-Yahya confirms ongoing evacuation of Kuwaitis from Iran

First flight arrived in Kuwait at dawn today via Turkmenistan, second scheduled to depart later today and third and final flight is planned for tomorrow, Sunday, completing the evacuation process.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah Al-Yahya said today that the Ministry is continuing its evacuation plan for Kuwaiti citizens stranded in Iran, in line with the directives of the political leadership and its unwavering commitment to the safety and security of its nationals abroad.

He stated that the first evacuation flight arrived in Kuwait at dawn today via Turkmenistan, with a second flight scheduled to depart later today. A third and final flight is planned for tomorrow, Sunday, completing the evacuation process.

Al-Yahya expressed gratitude for the substantial support provided by authorities in both Iran and Turkmenistan, acknowledging their role in facilitating the necessary arrangements to ensure the safe return of Kuwaiti citizens.

He emphasized that this cooperation reflects the strength of Kuwait’s friendly and collaborative relations with both countries.

The Minister urged all Kuwaiti citizens still in Iran to immediately contact the Kuwaiti Embassy in Tehran using the emergency numbers announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in order to be included in the remaining evacuation procedures.
