Al-Shamali underscores centuries-old deep-rooted ties with India

Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of India, H.E. Mishal Al-Shamali, has emphasized on the deep-rooted and evolving relationship between Kuwait and India, which spans over three centuries.

He said the bilateral relations have now advanced to the level of a strategic partnership, serving the mutual interests of both nations and strengthening ties between their peoples.

In a statement released by the Kuwaiti Embassy in India, said Ambassador Al-Shamali met with Aseem Mahajan, Joint Secretary and Director of the Gulf Affairs Department at India’s Ministry of External Affairs. The two officials discussed avenues to enhance cooperation across various sectors.

They commended the recent outcomes of talks between the civil aviation authorities of both countries, which led to the signing of a memorandum of understanding on air transport services.

The discussions also addressed the upcoming high-level meetings, including the Joint Higher Committee and its working groups, as well as the seventh round of Political Consultations, which is scheduled to take place soon in New Delhi.
