“Al-Rubaian” announces employment registration for 2025 to begin in March

Dr. Issam Al-Rubaian, the Chairman of the Civil Service Bureau (CSB), announced that the registration periods for job seekers for the year 2025 will be announced soon. He confirmed that the first registration period will begin in March.

This information was published by Al-Anba on December 29, which stated that, according to the expected dates for registering those wishing to work; the first registration period will begin in March.

Sources informed Al-Anba that the most suitable date to open the registration for employment is next February, instead of the usual March timeframe. This adjustment is being considered due to the start of the holy month of Ramadan, which coincides with March and could be exhausting for employees, especially given the increase in vacations during this period.

In a related context, sources confirmed to Al-Anba that the official working hours during the holy month of Ramadan will be “flexible”.

They stated that the flexible working hours system will apply during the holy month of Ramadan in 2025, with the official working hours set at 4 and a half hours.

On the other hand, for females, the hours will be reduced to 4 hours, with the option to benefit from two grace periods of up to 15 minutes at the beginning and end of the workday. Males will be allowed only 15 minutes of grace time, either at the beginning of the workday or upon departure.

The sources revealed that the same advantages applied during the month of Ramadan in 2024, including the allowance for delayed minutes and hours of leave, will continue.

This confirms what was published by Al-Anba on December 22 under the title “5 Advantages for Employees in the Morning Period During Ramadan”.

The Bureau had adopted flexible working hours during last Ramadan, allowing two flexible hours at the beginning of the workday, during which employees could attend. In 2023, the workday was divided into three time periods, each lasting 4 and half hours.

In the same context, and with the attendance and sponsorship of the President of the Civil Service Bureau, Dr. Issam Al-Rubaian, a specialized workshop was organized on the sidelines of the introductory seminar for the Sharjah Public Finance Award.

The workshop aimed to explain the process of submitting applications for participation in the award competition. It was announced that applications from government agencies and individuals wishing to participate will be received through the website of the Arab Administrative Development Organization.

The workshop focused on the terms, conditions, and criteria for participation in the competition. It was set that February 25 would be the last date for receiving applications from those wishing to participate, and the names of the winners will be announced at the end of May.
