Al-Roumi inspects service centers to ensure smooth operations and digital transformation

Brigadier General Fawaz Al-Roumi, Head of the Residency and Citizenship Affairs Sector, went on an inspection tour of the National Identity Center in Al-Shamiya as well as the Residency Affairs Departments in Hawalli and the Capital Governorates to review operational processes and assess the quality of services provided to visitors.

During the tour, Brigadier General Al-Roumi was briefed on the procedures, workflow and the modern technical systems that help accelerate the service delivery.

He said such visits are part of an ongoing work plan to assess performance and address any obstacles affecting employees or visitors, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Al-Shamiya Center has been developed into a comprehensive hub offering citizenship and residency services to all residents, with specialized services for the elderly and people with special needs.

Brigadier Al-Roumi highlighted that Kuwaiti citizens can now complete transactions in any governorate without restrictions. He also noted that the sector is completing the electronic transfer of information as part of a broader digital transformation initiative, which will make service centers fully paperless, streamlining procedures and saving time for customers.

He added that domestic worker visas can now be verified through the “Sahel” app before recruitment, enhancing transparency and safeguarding the rights of all parties.

Al-Roumi emphasized the importance of field visits by managers and their assistants to reception halls to ensure smooth workflow and facilitate procedures for applicants. He also confirmed strict measures are in place for sponsors and visitors in cases of legal or regulatory violations.

Concluding the tour, Brigadier Al-Roumi called on all employees to work as a team to deliver the highest standards of service, stressing that the success of the Residency and Citizenship Sector relies on collective efforts, quality, and transparency in all transactions.
