Al-Osaimi discusses 111 km railway phase, stresses timely execution

In line with the directives of the Minister of Public Works, Noura Al-Mashaan, the Director General of the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport, Eng. Khaled Al-Osaimi, convened a meeting today with the acting head of the consultancy overseeing the railway project.

The meeting focused on tracking progress of the detailed design study for the railway route, a key component of the consultancy agreement, which includes the preparation of all necessary studies and engineering designs for the upcoming project, according to Al-Rai daily.

Discussions included technical aspects of the railway route, especially concerning the first phase of the project, which covers 111 kilometers as part of Kuwait’s integration into the Gulf Railway Network.

Eng. Al-Osaimi stressed the importance of adhering strictly to the project timeline and reaffirmed the authority’s full commitment to resolving any potential obstacles that could delay implementation.

He added that a coordination meeting with all relevant government bodies will soon be called to ensure swift and efficient execution of the project.
