Al-Mutairi: 45th Gulf Summit to reflect Kuwait’s regional status and GCC relations

The Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, emphasized Kuwait’s commitment to organizing the 45th GCC Supreme Council Summit on Sunday, December 1, in a manner that reflects Kuwait’s regional stature and the deep-rooted and longstanding historical relations between the GCC countries.

In a statement to reporters during the opening of the media center for the summit on Friday, Al-Mutairi said, that Kuwait is committed in providing the best organization and reception that reflects the strong ties and enduring fraternal relations between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Al-Mutairi added that the summit ‘is an opportunity to reaffirm our belief in a shared destiny and collective action to achieve a prosperous future, full of successes and accomplishments that reflect the noble goals of the Cooperation Council.

Explaining further, Al-Mutairi stressed that the relations between the State of Kuwait and its Gulf Cooperation Council brothers are deep and historically rooted, emphasizing that these ties have become a model of regional cooperation to be emulated.

Al-Mutairi stated that what distinguishes the Gulf relations is the uniqueness that has enabled a qualitative shift in various fields, transforming our shared history into unified action that serves crucial issues and enhances the progress of the Cooperation Council.

Moreover, Al-Mutairi stated that the media center is equipped to accommodate over 80 media professionals, journalists, and guests to cover the Gulf Summit and its activities.

The center features modern studios, workspaces equipped with computers, halls for seminars and dialogue session, as well as large display screens and advanced internet services.

Additionally, Al-Mutairi pointed out that the media center includes an accompanying exhibition with seven pavilions, six of which are dedicated to the member states, and one for the General Secretariat.

The exhibition aims to highlight the journey of the GCC countries, their historical achievements, and the key common issues of interest to the region’s peoples.
