Al-Muhaini highlights growing Kuwaiti interest in Polish tourism, investment opportunities

Kuwait’s Ambassador to Poland, Saad Al-Muhaini, said today (Thursday) there are promising opportunities to enhance tourism and investment cooperation between Kuwait and Poland, amid growing Kuwaiti interest — particularly in the historic city of Krakow.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following his meeting with Krakow Mayor Aleksander Michalski, Ambassador Al-Muhaini revealed that approximately 5,500 Kuwaiti citizens visited Poland in 2024.
He noted that this number is expected to reach 6,000 visitors by the end of this year, supported by the launch of three weekly direct flights between Kuwait and Krakow via Jazeera Airways, with plans underway to increase flight frequency.
The meeting focused on strengthening tourism ties through direct collaboration between tourism offices in both countries. As part of the efforts to attract more Kuwaiti visitors, the Krakow Municipality presented the embassy with an introductory tourism guide in Arabic titled “Three Days in Krakow”, showcasing the city’s rich cultural heritage and travel offerings.
On the investment front, Polish officials presented opportunities in Nowa Huta, a district undergoing strategic redevelopment under the Krakow-Nova Huta Future Project. Ambassador Al-Muhaini emphasized Kuwait’s keen interest in private sector investments, particularly in hospitality and healthcare.
He added, “Kuwait sees Poland as a strategic partner in Central Europe, and we are committed to expanding and diversifying our economic cooperation.” He also praised the historic ties and shared values between the two nations, particularly their experiences in reclaiming independence.
Ambassador Al-Muhaini concluded by underlining both countries’ commitment to continuing dialogue and implementing practical proposals discussed during the meeting. The goal, he stressed, is to serve the mutual interests of the two friendly nations.
