“Al-Mashaan” reviewed ‘T2’ completion reinforcing high-quality global standards involving approved technical specifications
The New Passenger Terminal ‘T2’ is among Kuwait’s ambitious national project to develop and modernize infrastructure as ‘New Kuwait 2035’ vision, which will transform the nation into a regional as well as global financial and commercial hub.

Al-Mashaan ensured in harnessing all the possibilities and providing various facilities necessary to complete the project.
The Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Mohammed Al-Mashaan, inspected the New Airport Terminal Project ‘T2’ in the presence of members from the Board of Directors of the Central Agency for Public Tenders, headed by, Essam Daoud Ahmed Al-Marzouq.
The Minister’s inspection was meant to review the latest developments and to follow-up about the implementation on the ground to move forward towards completing the implementation of works, and urging the execution stages.
Al-Mashaan confirmed the Ministry’s great interest in developing the infrastructure of the air transport sector in the country, by adopting ‘the best international standards in the field of civil aviation industry’.
Stressing further she emphasized about the need for coordination to solve the outstanding issues of the New Airport Terminal Project ‘T2’.
Regarding timely execution, Al-Mashaan demanded speedier completion of all the work with the required quality and efficiency. This should be done in accordance with the approved technical specifications and commitment to the promised schedule, pointing to the importance of coordination with Civil Aviation.
Additionally, she also highlighted that the government is keen to harness all the capabilities and provide various facilities that are necessary to complete the project and operate all the airport services and facilities according to the planned schedule.
The visit also involved a specific visual presentation showcasing especially about the work that has been completed.
Al-Mashaan categorically explained about the purpose of her visit that was meant to closely review the progress of the project’s business, follow it up, identify any challenges it faces, and more importantly overcome any hurdles or hardships for timely completion.
Explaining further, Al-Mashaan shared that the New Passenger Terminal ‘T2’ is one of the most ambitious national project that is meant to develop and modernize the country’s infrastructure to serve the vision of ‘New Kuwait 2035’.
This new airport undoubtedly will transform Kuwait into a regional as wells as global financial and commercial center, which will attract investment, as consensus has been made on the need to quickly complete the project on the specified dates and within the stipulated timetable of the contract, she said.
On the other hand, Al-Marzouq expressed his deep pride and appreciation for the prominent and acclaimed role played by the national cadres and youth energies, involved in participating in the implementation of the project, with efficiency and competence along with professional responsibility.
