“Al-Huwailah” opens ‘Al-Makash 3’ with new diverse activities for all ages
The Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, inaugurated the ‘Al-Makash 3’ project on the northern island of Jaber Bridge on Friday. The project spans 50,000 square meters and will run until the end of March, 2025.
In a press statement during the opening, Al-Huwailah expressed her happiness in inaugurating the ‘Al-Makash 3’ project, highlighting its uniqueness compared to previous editions.
Al-Huwailah emphasized that the ministry aimed to make it more attractive by including a variety of new activities suitable for all ages and catering to the needs of all family members. She stressed that the project will serve as a social and recreational hub for both Kuwaiti and expatriate families.
Regarding the forthcoming stage, Al-Huwailah revealed that the next phase will see the launch of several social and entertainment initiatives across most of the country’s governorates.
Al-Huwailah emphasized that the people of Kuwait, along with all residents, deserve such projects and initiatives, which are launched under the direct guidance of the political leadership.
Highlighting about the project, Al-Huwailah mentioned that it is supported and funded by the National Cooperative Projects Committee and coordinated with the Federation of Societies, marks a significant step forward in supporting tourism and entertainment in Kuwait.
Furthermore, the Governor of the Capital, H. E. Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali, expressed that this year’s ‘Al-Makash 3’ project is the best among its predecessors. He also mentioned that he had instructed the relevant authorities to provide their feedback on the project to help avoid any issues next year.
Al-Ali added that under the directives of the Council of Ministers, they are committed to provide everything that meets the needs of citizens, as they always deserve the best. He also noted that the project will feature a range of social, cultural, and recreational activities in the coming days.
Whereas, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, stated that this work is a true partnership between the Ministry and the Federation of Associations, with direct instructions from Minister Al-Huwailah to ensure that this place serves as a social destination first and foremost.
Adding further, Al-Ajmi stated that the Ministry aims for the project to become the top destination for Kuwaiti families, residents, visitors, and tourists, especially with several upcoming events.
The Ministry will also focus on making citizens and residents happy, as this place will become a proud symbol of Kuwait’s national projects in the near future.
