Al-Huwailah hails Kuwaiti victory in West Asian Wheelchair Basketball Championship

Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, extended heartfelt congratulations to the Kuwait Sports Club for the Disabled for their recent triumph in the ninth West Asian Clubs Wheelchair Basketball Championship, held in Amman, Jordan.

In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Friday, Dr. Al-Huwailah described the championship win as a testament to the strength, willpower, and determination of Kuwaiti athletes, saying the victory enhances the country’s image in regional and international sporting arenas.

Dr. Al-Huwailah expressed deep appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the club’s players, coaches, and administrative team, acknowledging that such a result could not have been achieved without their relentless hard work and discipline.

She also emphasized that the achievement reflects the continuous support of Kuwait’s political leadership, particularly in empowering individuals with disabilities and supporting their participation across all sectors, including sports.

“This win is a proud moment for all Kuwaitis,” she stated, adding that the Kuwait Sports Club for the Disabled has added another shining milestone to the country’s sporting history. She wished the team further success and continued progress in future competitions.
