The Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Hamed Al-Dawwas, inspected several border posts in Kuwait’s southern and central sectors.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Ministry of Interior said that Major General Al-Dawwas reviewed the operational readiness of the Al-Nuwaiseeb Coastal Center, Al-Jalida, Al-Fawaris, Al-Radifa, and Qalma Sabah centers. The visit also included discussions on field coordination mechanisms between the centers to enhance rapid response capabilities in case of emergencies, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Ministry added that the tour came as part of continuous field monitoring efforts and a commitment to directly assess the workflow and preparedness of border units.

Major General Al-Dawwas emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest levels of security readiness across all border centers, commending the dedication and professionalism of the security personnel safeguarding the nation’s borders around the clock.

He stressed that border posts serve as the “first line of defense” in preserving Kuwait’s security and stability, highlighting the vigilance, discipline, and sense of duty demonstrated by the officers and staff in performing their national responsibilities.

Major General Al-Dawwas was accompanied during the visit by Major General Majbal bin Shawq, head of the Border Security and Coast Guard Sector.
