Air customs foils attempt to smuggle 47 kilos of marijuana

The Air Cargo Customs inspectors have intercepted a major drug smuggling attempt — a shipment coming from the United States.
This happened when customs officials on duty during routine inspection, flagged a suspicious looking parcel sent via courier company mail.
The shipment details described the content as a decorative display item, but when the parcel was opened inspectors found a hidden compartment beneath a cork board and inside was a concealed stash of herbal material which was later confirmed to be marijuana weighing 47 kilograms.
Customs authorities in coordination with the General Department for Drug Control has initiated legal procedures. The incident highlights ongoing efforts by Kuwaiti customs to combat drug trafficking through advanced inspection and vigilant monitoring.
