Ahmadi Governor, Turkish envoy discuss Kuwaiti-Turkish friendship park initiative

Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Turkish Ambassador to Kuwait H.E Tuba Nur Sonmez on Wednesday at the governorate’s General Diwan.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Amira Al-Hassan, Head of the UN-Habitat Mission in Kuwait and the Arabian Gulf, and Third Secretary Mohammed Bilal from the Turkish Embassy.

Discussions focused on ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Kuwait and Turkey, with particular attention given to a new community initiative — the Kuwaiti-Turkish Friendship Park, reports Al-Rai daily.

Governor Al-Sabah welcomed the ambassador and expressed appreciation for initiatives that foster cooperation and cultural exchange, while Ambassador Sonmez thanked the governor for his warm hospitality and support.

The governor praised the proposed park project, noting that such efforts play a vital role in deepening bonds between nations and serving local communities.
