ACI-Kuwait Chapter to host Annual Awards Banquet this Tuesday
The awards ceremony will be held at the College of Engineering and Petroleum (South Campus), Kuwait University, Sabah Al-Salem University City, starting at 7:30 pm.
• Mr. Ghassan Alghawas, President of the ACI-Kuwait Chapter, announced that the 2023 Award of Excellence will honor a local project for its outstanding design, engineering quality, and use of concrete technology.
The Kuwait Chapter of the American Concrete Institute will host its Annual Awards Banquet on December 3, with Eng. Abdulatif Hamed Al-Meshari, the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Housing Affairs, serving as the guest of honor.
Mr. Ghassan Alghawas, the President of the ACI-Kuwait Chapter, has announced that two prestigious awards will be presented during this year’s event. The Award of Excellence for 2023 will be given to a local project of outstanding merit, based on its design, engineering quality, and use of concrete technology.
The award will be presented to the project developer, with recognition also given to the design and engineering consultants, the general contractor, and the main concrete supplier.
The Award of Achievement 2023 will be bestowed upon an individual in recognition of their lifelong contribution to the engineering profession, higher education, and development in the State of Kuwait.
Mr. Alghawas highlighted that these awards, which the Chapter has been presenting since 2001, are highly respected and appreciated within Kuwait’s design, engineering, and construction community.
He also expressed his gratitude that Eng. AbdulatifHamed Al-Meshari, has kindly agreed to grace the event. This clearly reflects his commitment to the engineering profession and his desire to promote the quality of design and construction in the State of Kuwait.

The ACI-Kuwait Chapter is a non-profit professional organization affiliated with the American Concrete Institute (ACI) International in the USA. The chapter’s main objective is to develop and share technical knowledge and information to improve the quality of concrete and related construction practices in Kuwait.
