The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) said one of its vessels came under attack while transiting the Strait of Hormuz on Friday, confirming that no injuries were reported and that the situation remained under control.
The Emirates News Agency (WAM) quoted ADNOC as stressing the importance of protecting the safety of seafarers, as well as ensuring freedom of navigation and maritime security.
ADNOC also urged the public to rely exclusively on official sources for information and to refrain from circulating rumors or unverified reports.
