390 used tyres refurbished for resale seized during Jleeb warehouse raid

Kuwait’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Farwaniya Criminal Investigation Department, has busted a warehouse in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh that was being used to refurbish used tyres for resale.
Commercial Control Department Director Faisal Al-Ansari said inspectors found workers storing, cleaning, polishing and renewing used tyres before preparing them for sale to consumers.
The raid resulted in the seizure of 390 used car tyres, along with equipment and tools used for cleaning and refurbishing them.
The warehouse was subsequently sealed by the Kuwait Fire Force. The ministry is coordinating with Kuwait Municipality and the Environment Public Authority to dispose of the seized tyres in accordance with approved procedures.
A violation report has been filed, and legal action is being taken against the warehouse and those responsible.
Al-Ansari stressed that the ministry will continue intensifying inspections of commercial establishments to prevent practices that could endanger consumers or compromise product safety.
