Kuwait is experiencing hot and humid weather conditions as a surface low-pressure system continues to affect the country, bringing very high temperatures and reduced visibility in some coastal areas, the Meteorological Department said.
Acting Director of the Meteorological Department Dharar Al-Ali said the country is currently under the influence of a very hot and humid air mass, particularly along coastal regions, accompanied by light to moderate southeasterly winds ranging from 8 to 35 kilometers per hour.
He said maximum temperatures are expected to range between 46°C and 48°C, while light fog in coastal areas is causing reduced horizontal visibility.
Al-Ali explained that humidity levels are expected to gradually decline by Wednesday evening as winds shift to northwesterly directions and become moderate, occasionally strengthening over exposed areas with speeds reaching 45 kilometers per hour.
