GTD diverts traffic on Maghreb Expressway for one month starting today
The General Traffic Department has announced the temporary closure of two lanes on the Maghreb Expressway as part of planned road works, beginning today (Sunday).
The closure will affect the right and middle lanes of the expressway for motorists travelling from Kuwait City towards Ahmadi.
The department also announced the closure of the exit from the First Ring Road leading to Maghreb Road, as well as the exit from Maghreb Road towards the Second Ring Road.
Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes, follow traffic instructions and exercise caution in the affected areas during the closure period.
The General Traffic Department said the temporary measures are part of ongoing efforts to facilitate road works and improve traffic management across Kuwait’s road network.
