SME Fund plans full Kuwaitization of workforce by September

The National Fund for the Care and Development of Small and Medium Enterprises has begun implementing an ambitious workforce nationalization plan aimed at achieving 100 percent Kuwaitization by September, according to Acting Director General Engineer Basma Al-Jassem.
In a press statement, Al-Jassem said the fund has already terminated the services of non-Kuwaiti employees in several positions as part of a broader administrative and institutional strategy focused on empowering Kuwaiti talent and strengthening its presence across administrative and technical roles.
She explained that the move aligns with the state’s direction to expand national employment opportunities and improve institutional efficiency and performance.
Al-Jassem added that the fund is simultaneously working to modernize the work environment, update operational procedures, and redistribute responsibilities to ensure the optimal utilization of national cadres and enhance institutional readiness.
She stressed that the fund remains committed to implementing plans that reinforce the role of Kuwaiti professionals in managing institutional operations efficiently and sustainably.
