Belgium congratulates Kuwait on the occasion of National & Liberation days

On behalf of His Majesty the King and the people of Belgium, I wish to extend my deepest and warmest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and to the Government and people of Kuwait on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of Independence and 33rd commemoration of the Liberation of Kuwait.Belgium and Kuwait have a long history of friendship and strong diplomatic relations based on mutual respect and shared values.Our efforts are focused on intensifying political dialogue and enhancing our economic cooperation.
In 2024 we will celebrate 60 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belgium and Kuwait — an opportunity to deepen and expand our bilateral cooperation in the areas of common interest.
Belgium is honored to have supported Kuwait in its war of liberation and to side with it in the international fora, to promote peace, prosperity and stability for the international community.
