Kuwait MoI Updating National Alert System Notifications on Smart Devices
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced on Monday an update to the notification mechanism of the national alert system on smart
devices as of Monday, today, to enhance alert efficiency and taking rest periods into account while ensuring that warning notifications are effectively delivered when needed.
In a press release, the ministry said that notifications will be sent in coincidence with the activation of warning sirens across the country. Alerts will be issued with a loud notification tone from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (local time), and with a message tone from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., the release elaborated.
