Saudi, Qatar, Jordan leaders meet in Jeddah on regional situation

A trilateral meeting was held in Jeddah on Monday, bringing together Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammad bin Salman, King Abdullah II of Jordan and Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed the latest regional developments, the repercussions of the military escalation in the region, its risks to freedom of international navigation and the security of energy supplies, its impact on the global economy, and joint efforts to enhance regional security and stability, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

They reiterated that the continued Iranian attacks on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Jordan and targeting vital and civilian infrastructure, constitute a serious escalation that puts regional security and stability in jeopardy. – Kuna
