MOI Undersecretary inspects security checkpoints amid regional tensions

On Monday, Major General Abdul Wahab Al-Wahib, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, conducted inspections of multiple checkpoints operated by the security directorates, General Traffic Department, and the Directorate-General of Rescue Police.

He was accompanied by Major-General Hamad Al-Munifi, Head of the Security Directorates Sector, and Brigadier Abdullah Al-Atiqi, Head of the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector.

During the visit, Major General Al-Wahib reviewed the deployment of security personnel and observed the operational mechanisms at checkpoints across the country.

He received a detailed briefing on precautionary plans implemented in light of the prevailing situation in Kuwait and the region, aimed at enhancing security, enforcing the rule of law, and protecting lives and property, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Wahib emphasized the critical role of checkpoints in maintaining national security, detecting violations, and preventing any threats to public safety and stressed on the importance of vigilance, strict adherence to the law, and the uniform application of legal measures to all, highlighting these as essential to preserving Kuwait’s stability.

The Undersecretary praised the field personnel for their dedication, continuous monitoring, and round-the-clock commitment to ensuring a safe environment for all citizens and residents.

He underscored that their professionalism and patriotism are key to maintaining the country’s security and public trust.
