Kuwait Announces Friday as First Day of Eid Al Fitr
Kuwait’s Moon Sighting Authority announced on Wednesday that Friday, March 20, 2026, will mark the first day of Eid Al Fitr for the year 1447 AH.
The authority stated that the Shawwal crescent moon was not sighted, making Thursday the final day completing the holy month of Ramadan.
The announcement follows the official verification process conducted by the الهيئة, in line with Islamic traditions of determining the start of lunar months through moon sighting.
