Eight firms vie for KPC Well Testing Contract with bids up to 29 million dinars
Strong competition seen as Schlumberger submits lowest bid

The Supreme Purchasing Committee of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries has announced the results of opening bids for a tender related to well testing and associated services, which attracted eight competing companies.
The tender drew participation from a mix of international, regional, and local companies specializing in drilling and maintenance services. Financial bids submitted by the competitors ranged between approximately 7 million dinars and 29 million dinars.
The lowest bid was submitted by Schlumberger Kuwait, with an offer ranging from 7 million dinars to 12.3 million dinars. The second-lowest bid came from Gulf Drilling and Maintenance, which proposed a price between 12.31 million dinars and 22.89 million dinars.
Other bidders included Sahara Petroleum Services, which submitted proposals ranging from 13.83 million dinars to 25.94 million dinars, and Specto International, whose bids ranged between 12.61 million dinars and 23.36 million dinars.
In a separate development, KPC also announced the opening of bids for its group health insurance tender, which saw competition from four local and regional insurance providers.
According to the results, Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company submitted an annual bid valued at 43.8 million dinars, while Warba Insurance and Reinsurance Company offered approximately 43.7 million dinars.
Meanwhile, Al-Ahlia Insurance Company presented an adjusted bid of around 37.59 million dinars, and Gulf Insurance Group submitted the lowest offer for the tender at approximately 37.23 million dinars annually.
The tenders reflect ongoing efforts by KPC to enhance operational efficiency and provide comprehensive services for its workforce while maintaining competitive procurement processes.
