Starlink begins operations in Kuwait following regulatory approval

The satellite internet service Starlink, operated by SpaceX, has officially begun operating in Kuwait, according to the service availability map published on the company’s official website, which now lists the country among the regions where the service is accessible.

Several individuals who had previously shown their interest in the service confirmed that they recently received emails inviting them to complete the subscription process, marking the start of the long-awaited rollout after a waiting period that lasted several years, reports Al-Rai daily.

The satellite-based internet service is now available to residents across Kuwait, offering high-speed connectivity through a network of low-Earth orbit satellites.

According to information published on the company’s website, the procedures for delivering and activating the service are being carried out in line with the regulations and requirements set by Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA), which oversees telecommunications services in Kuwait and grants the necessary approvals for such technologies to operate in the country.
