Kuwait PM inspects MEW, reviews emergency preparedness

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah conducted an inspection visit to the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy on Thursday to oversee operational readiness and emergency preparedness.

Accompanied by the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Subaih Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizeem, and Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Adel Mohammad Al-Zamil, His Highness toured the ministry’s emergency shelter facilities.

During the visit, he was briefed on streamlined operational procedures, safety systems, and logistical preparations designed for “exceptional circumstances.” In a subsequent meeting with senior ministry officials, His Highness reviewed comprehensive measures aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted efficiency of national power and water services.

The discussions centered on enhancing inter-agency coordination to fortify the national grid’s stability and safeguard vital infrastructure against potential disruptions. His Highness the Prime Minister lauded the unwavering dedication of the ministry’s personnel in maintaining grid integrity during the current regional climate.

He further reaffirmed the government’s full support for all strategic measures taken to ensure the sustainability of the nation’s vital utility services. – KUNA
