Threat to any GCC state is a threat to the entire Gulf Bloc, says Kuwait Cabinet

The Cabinet on Sunday reaffirmed that the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) represent “an indivisible whole,” stressing that any attack or threat targeting one member state is considered an attack on all GCC nations.

During its weekly meeting, the Cabinet strongly condemned what it described as “heinous Iranian attacks” that targeted the territory and airspace of Kuwait and other countries in the region, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The government reiterated Kuwait’s firm commitment to defending its sovereignty, emphasizing its inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. It affirmed that Kuwait reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect its territory, airspace, citizens, and residents.

The Cabinet also called on the international community — particularly the United Nations Security Council — to clearly and unequivocally condemn Iran’s attacks on countries in the region.

It urged the council to take decisive steps to halt what it described as Iranian violations that threaten regional stability and undermine international peace and security.
