Kuwait’s society launches blood donation to support health sector

Kuwait’s Social Reform Society (SRS), represented in the Islamic cooperation bureau, launched on Friday a blood donation campaign to back the health sector and enhance the values of societal integration and solidarity.
In cooperation with the Central Blood Bank in Jabriya and with the participation of several donors, this campaign stems from the society’s faith in its humanitarian and national role, as well as its dedication to fostering the values of collaboration among individuals, head of society Dr. Khaled Al-Mathkour told KUNA. Through such initiatives, the SRS is keen on cementing the values of voluntary action and boosting societal participation with the state’s bodies, he added.

He affirmed integrating efforts among official bodies and civil society organizations is a main pillar in backing the health system and raising readiness in the face of different challenges. The society continues the State’s support in multiple fields, including taking part in preparing shelters, as part of initiatives aiming to raise societal readiness and cement the culture of collaboration in the face of emergencies to maintain the safety and stability of the society, he elaborated.-KUNA
